I am a Registered Social Worker (MSW, RSW) , with over 15 years of experience supporting individuals through life's challenges. In addition to my Social Work education, I have completed a diploma in Art Therapy and have a background in Fine Arts. I enjoy incorporating art and creative expression into therapy when it aligns with a client's goals and preferences, while also offering traditional talk therapy for those who prefer a conversational approach.
I am located in Squamish, British Columbia, and can only provide psychotherapy services to British Columbia residents at this time.
My Art Wellness Workshops are open to anyone, regardless of where they reside.
While I support individuals experiencing a wide range of challenges, my practice has developed particular expertise in the following areas:
I specialize in supporting individuals living with chronic illness, chronic pain, disability, and the emotional impact of navigating changes in health. Therapy can provide a space to process the psychological and practical challenges that often accompany illness, including adjustment following a diagnosis, medical trauma, grief, identity changes, uncertainty, and caregiver stress.
I have extensive experience supporting individuals and families living with neurological and neurodegenerative conditions, including:
Huntington's disease (HD), Parkinson's disease, Multiple sclerosis (MS), ALS, Stroke, Traumatic brain injury (TBI), Concussion, Dementia and cognitive changes.
I also support caregivers and family members as they navigate the unique emotional and practical challenges that can accompany these conditions.
I provide therapy for individuals experiencing:
Anxiety, Depression, Trauma and PTSD, Stress and burnout, Low self-esteem, Emotional regulation difficulties, Grief and loss, Life transitions, Relationship challenges.
I also support individuals and couples who are looking to strengthen communication, establish healthy boundaries, navigate relationship challenges, and foster greater self-understanding and resilience.
I believe therapy is most effective when it is collaborative, individualized, and grounded in genuine human connection. Every person brings their own experiences, strengths, and goals, which is why I don't believe in a one-size-fits-all approach.
Together, we'll work to better understand the challenges you're facing, identify patterns that may no longer be serving you, and build practical skills that support meaningful, lasting change. My role is to provide a compassionate, non-judgmental space where you feel heard, supported, and empowered to move forward at a pace that feels right for you.
I draw from a variety of evidence-based approaches—including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and trauma-informed practice—to tailor therapy to your unique needs. When it feels appropriate, we may also integrate creative expression as another avenue for reflection, processing, and healing, but this is always guided by your comfort and preferences.
Above all, I strive to create a space where you can show up as your authentic self, explore life's challenges with curiosity and self-compassion, and work toward a life that feels more connected, meaningful, and aligned with your values.
